Been trying some outdoor real life macro (close up) stuff and it's a lot harder than the indoor, fully controlled environment, stacked focus shots that I have been doing recently.
First 'frog' is a frog orchid. About 3" high, totally insignificant and more likely to be trodden on than spotted. On the 'red list' with only about 12 spikes on our reserve this year.
and for something totally different, this is a new frog, still with its tadpole tail. In the margins of our garden pond. About 1/4" long.
Both shots taken with Sony A7 and Sigma 105/f2.8 macro.
