Spotted Crake? No spots though :( Juvenile Moorhen?

Saw these on Jersey a few weeks ago. Thought they were Water Rails at first but looking at pics, I think they're Spotted Crakes? No spots but then again I can't find anything that looks like this with my quick Google! Perhaps a Juvenile Moorhen? Was expecting a red bit on the beak for a Moorhen but some Juvenile pics show them without it.

I did see a Water Rail there too but never managed to get a decent shot since it was a bit more shy than this one!

Weather was a bit grey and the mud doesn't make for a lively background either :/ These are cropped in somewhat too.

At least the Marsh Harrier shots I got looked a bit more colourful!

Love the Starlings, great fun ... I'm struggling to see the other bird as a Spotted Crake, TBH it looks more like the markings of a Juvenile Moorhen to me, especially with the white tail edges.

Is it a juvenile moorhen?? White on tail?? Apologies if I am incorrect

Yeah, the shape looked like what I had seen but I guess I forgot about the 'Spotted' part of the name lol :/ It definitely wasn't shy like the other bird I saw which I'm pretty sure was a Water Rail.

Guess this is about as close as I got to a Water Rail shot lol :D

Massive crop through reeds whilst panning on a longish exposure does not a sharp shot make,
