Nice view but I suggest you have another go at processing it.

Thanks for the comments taken an board as said first time with lightroom will have an other go and tone it down abit

It would make a lovely shot if you adjust the colour saturation a tad, nice composition though

Les ;)

Well desaturated it abit thick it looks better now
will keep watching lightroom tips on youtube to find more tricks in the use for it

I always try to think about the landscape and what emotion it stirs in me before processing. Gritstone edges are a baron, bleak landscape with lots of dull tones, think greys and browns with subtle hints of colour.
Nice composition, i'd be tempted to spend an hour or two back in processing to try and get the best from it.

Possibly over saturated slightly? Otherwise I really like it, usually I'm flying down there on a mountain bike so I don't normally get to appreciate the view!

It sort of has a radioactive glow to it  Let me guess it has landscape profile and saturation at +100%, and probably something else going on.

Ok chaps taken onboard whats been said I`ve toned the picture down and I think this is the final edit but I`ve also added a B/W one as well with just abit extra crop

And also here`s one b/w

Much better, forget the b&w though, the colour and tone of no1 is spot on.

What did you need to do in photoshop that you couldn't in lightroom?

I still don't know how to save the image I`ve worked on so I open it in photoshop only to then save it as J-PEG to my computer
If you could explain to me if I can do the same in lightroom it`d be a great help

You just need to go to export which is in the file menu to save it as a jpeg.

Personally I still think the sky still looks unnatural but love the composition and foreground and at the end of the day its your opinion that counts

Nothing wrong with the composition or framing, but the processing seriously lets this down, even the edited versions. Its a shame you need to go B&W as I'm sure the original has some fantastic colours in it.
Any chance of posting up the original so we can have a look?

Post up the raw file for us to download and have a play with. If you've got lightroom we can tell you exactly what settings we used achieve the final image.
I`ve try`d to post up a raw file but I cannot seam to do this if you could tell me how I`d be happy to post it up for you to have a play with in lightroom

I've try's that it show every type of file except raw I'll try again later

Agree that the composition and subject are good but the processing looks overdone in my opinion. Would like to see the original raw file to see what it's like. Maybe we could all have a go at processing it and see what we all come up with? Would that be ok?

I`d love to post up some images for you to have a play with but it will only let me up load png, jpg, jpeg, gif not raw files when
I processed it I used 3 shot and ran it through photomatix
if you have any idea`s as to load raw files I`ll be happy to do that

Just host it somewhere like google drive, skydrive, ubuntu one, dropbox, usendit etc.. then share the link here. Simples. Though depends how much you can be bothered really.
