Critique Stepping Stones

Hi, I would have liked a little more at the top. - On the other hand it makes one think (which is never a bad thing) ... ---
 
Unfortunately it just leads to a house, and not even a good looking house! The intention was to make people think, what is at the end of all this ?
 
At first glance it looked like a row of coffins in a river. But it caught my attention.
