No Idea what this is called. I was walking through some nature reserve near to where I live trying to get some swan pictures. While crawling around I got a load of these pod things stuck to my clothes so I took a close up of one on my hand.

thanks :) it turned out better than I thought. I had to hand hold the camera in one hand while trying to battle the wind !! I was going to change the lens over to the 50 but in the end just shot it with the tamron 17-50 f2.8

I am quite pleased with the IQ from that lens. The picture got a bit of a crop to remove my unsightly thumb though :)
