Ladybirds are so difficult, but this little lady gave me a few repeat performances!

I couldn't decide which I looked best - so they are here in a sequence of 3, and then 2 and 2 and 2 more.

The wing mech is amazing if you watch videos if them unfolding in slo-mo.

I think probably the first trio captures the ‘unlikely’ looking process of deploying the ‘crumpled’ wings. Most beetles look somewhat improbable fliers but the ladybirds more than most, perhaps it’s the hemispherical shape.? Though stag beetles take some beating for unlikeliness.
