We have a map on google where you can add yourself.

On the top right you will see an edit button (if you don't then you will need to sign up with google).
On the map you will see a placemark, click on it, place the marker on your location and add your details.
You should find people local to you on there

I don't know who started this map but kudos to you!

Mods: Would it be possible to make this thready sticky?
I'm sure most people would find it useful.

I was very surprised to see so few south side of the M25 though!
 
I remember a member on here creating one from one of the threads on here- now who was it & can I find the thread.....

So I see, Reigate area. Nice. I know the area okish, my Uncle lives there and my wife is due to start a job there soon!

Whn I have some free time coming up maybe we should arrange a "southside" meet!
 
Added myself (Flixton near Manchester). I did this for another forum, it's a good idea if people are willing to use it. :)
 
Ok so I can ad my placement but where do I find the template to add my details. :wacky:
 
Er did that but it deleted that persons details, I've had to pm an apollogy. :bang:

I don't see why not, as I don't thinks it's just for the UK.
 
The more member who add themselves to the map, the better the chance you will have of finding closer tog buddiers near you :)
PM anyone you have become friendly with and ask them nicely to add themselves.
 
We could also put a link to the map in our sigs....

With the amount of members, there probably are some near you.
We just need to get as many people as possible to add themselves to the map.

The link takes you to google maps with everyones location on there,but the tile is "Moran Photography" is this correct?
