Back before TV was 24-hours a day, we used to see test cards like this between programmes.

Is it a fact that the young girl in the test card, Carole Hersee has the Guinness Book of Records entry for the longest television apperance on broadcast TV? Because she was on most days/nights?

Ah, memories from the time when the tv in our house only came on for the 6 o'clock news and perhaps for an hour after, if there was something dad wanted to watch.
Exception was Saturday for Match of the Day...

From time to time I've seen that test card but I never new or even tried to find out the name of the young girl on the card, that's a very interesting fact though.

Not just me at 'that age' then

"We" as in "we Brits". I captioned it for the US market. Plus, a gentleman never gives away his age. Besides, I live just down the road from Mr and Mrs Hill, and they're older than me.
