When I got my sony 85 1.8 I really wanted to give it a go before using it on any job. So I did a quick editorial test. :)
It's super super sharp, specially compared with my 24-70 f4. And the eye-af worked amazingly, specially with the lens at f1.8

Hope you guys like it.

I like the photos but no comment on the hardware. I particularly like that you seem to be looking as much at the background as on the subject, very carefully and well placed photos.

My pick is #7, very elegant. I would
heal the specular highlight under the
right shoe and tweak the DRL so to
cheer up the colours.

A nice set of images.

Absolutely love the images!! Can I ask what camera and lens? Is it the batis 85 and what Sony camera?
I'm about to move to a Sony system too and was intrested in the 85mm 1.8 batis

I think it's a combination of makeup & angle, but in several shots - especially first and third - the model's head seems too large for her body, creating an alien and not entirely pleasant look. Otherwise excellent work.

I would like #2 a lot if her head was at a different angle with eyes open. After that next choice is # seven. All of them however make me want to buy her a big German chocolate cake.

Thanks for the comments. :)
I'm glad so many liked them.

I don't want to cheer up the colours much because of the styling. Everything was very pastel and soft tones. I wanted the entire image to follow the mood. The shoe was something that I had never noticed but well spotted. Thanks.

Hi, It's a sony A7II with the Sony FE 85 1.8. Not the Batis. From what I've seen, on a body with IS, there's not much advantage on the Batis over the cheaper sony.

You're not the first person to have said that... And honestly if you hadn't said, judging from your pics I would've swore it's the batis! What a fantastic lens!! You've got yourself a new fan! Loving all of your work! Very inspiring! Can't fault your images, love the composition, colours, moods all of it!
