Really like the foregrounds in the first two Martin. Well picked out. Coincidentally there's a river similar looking to this which runs close to my house so been looking for similar type shots anticipating autumn colour which won't be long now.
Any particular reason why you shot up river as apposed to downriver? Is that the done thing with these type of shots?

Cheers Scott, aye I'm looking forward to going back here again once the trees turn a bit.

I've always shot upstream in all my shots, for me it just looks more dynamic and for me personally, it feels better in the scene. I don't know why, as technically if you shoot downstream the flow would lead you into the image, but it just doesn't feel right to me.

Thank you Mike...thinking about going for a wander here again tomorrow after all the rain. It might just be one big wash-out, or it could be interestingly rough....we shall see :)
