The William Wallace Monument

Good old Willy Wallace.

Despite evidence to the contrary, a lot of the weans in my first year history class were convinced that he was a proper "Glasgae Barmpot", based on his proven ability to pull disaster out of victory.
 
Born in one of the houses on the road up to it, used to think nothing of running up the steps to the top as a kid , but tried it as an adult a few years later didn't reach the first floor before I felt dizzy.
