I do believe that it is the lavae of the Harlequin Ladybird. Harlequin ladybirds are not native and are classed as an INNS. They arrived in the country in 2004. They originate from eastern Russia, China and Japan. Bloody good photos mate.

You are correct, this the harlequin (aka Asian Ladybird).

There's a lot of them now that's for sure.
