When is Summer going to arrive?
This Barn Owl image was taken back in April 24 when in one morning saw 14 Owls now lucky to see two.
Recently been advised one pair of Owls have lost there young in a roof of a well weather protected barn.
Butterflies are non-existent in the garden although the buddleja is in flower.
Young birds, hardly any seen in the garden compared to last year.
Maybe different in the South of the country but Northwards seems to be very bad, seems never two days go by without rain or strong winds.

Wasn't it just last year we were being told that the weather was too hot and was killing wildlife?

I think wildlife is a lot more resilient and the rain and wind will have forced insects higher up in the trees, and as a result birds have to look higher up or elsewhere for their food.

It's like booking a hide being told there were umpteen visits to the bait a day before, and I was lucky to see one.
