Mate educate me......we have seen male marsh harriers but their faces look much more pale. than the image you have shared....................is that a thing that develops with age....or maybe geographical or maybe simply an individual characteristic with no rhyme or reason?

Stuart I'm no expert on Marsh Harriers however after seeing various shades on the head in the same area i would rule out location. I would tend to lean more towards the bird maturing but again stand to be corrected on that. Cheers.
