So I took this picture at ice Hockey tonight.. I am always scanning the crowd and saw this guy with his pint of guinness.. I don't normally but in this case showed both adults (I presume parents) the picture.. they loved it and see absoloutly no problems with me posting it on FB where I explained I would be doing.. I offered to delete but they said no.. publish

Personally I have no problems with whats happening or the picture and indeed I have posted it... But its middle of the night.. I am expecting a backlash tomorrow ... What do you think ? :)

Well, they used to give Guinness to hospital patients and as it is a 'stout' it has IIRC iron in it, so good for anaemia...................and surmise the child is only going to a 'lip wetting sip'

Don’t see a problem with it at all tbh. Be surprised if there is any sort of backlash would imagine a lot of parents have done the same thing I know we have.

I was told once that there used to be a product, I think it was a Dormal. It was a miniature baby bottle with a normal sized teat on it.

Specifically made to fill with beer or alcohol for the baby.

"Help it to sleep". :)

Before posting if it were my photograph I would have put a watermark right across the middle to stop it being copied. A copyright signature is easily removed

It looks like it is a plastic type glass, so what harm can it do, and as someone has mentioned. it could be Guinness zero. I'm glad you posted it on facebook and it's a (y) from me.

Look at the poor little thing..... its not like she is trying to Gulp it down or anything. :)

I don't have a problem with it but I would nearly guarantee 90% of Facebook would .....people would LOVE to call out the parenting on this one ....I would absolutely not post it at the fear the abuse they would get . Facebook is dead in the water and what's left of it is like a modern day Jeremy Kyle show . What would be the actual purpose of posting it ?

Agree 100% As for the last bit.. the parents seemed delighted it would be posted so didn't want to let them down :)

I would have sent it to them by PM personally ...the problem being once it's posted you have absolutely no control over it and no idea what response it's getting other than anyone who replies directly to your post . An image can and will be screen shot and reshared . But at the end of the day you had permission from them

I suspect shes just tasting the froth on the top, and it's all a bit of fun.
Personally I probably wouldnt post it. Years ago I would have with no worries, but now in the crazy PC I'm offended by everything world, I wouldnt risk it.
Nothing might happen.... Or the media will jump on it and the family will have antisocial services involved and loose the child and have to go into hiding.
Sadly thats the insane world we live in. What used to be normal fun stuff is now almost a hanging offence.

So easy for anything to be taken out of context - a mum copying it off Facebook and posting to Mumsnet with her own caption.. could the venue get into trouble if anyone complained? nanny state huh
Absolutely this or the "all dads are losers" groups and as I said.... once it's screenshot it's out of everyone's hands

The people who are complaining about the Karen’s are pandering to them by advising not to post it. Making them Karen’s as well.

I wouldn’t worry anyway if it’s posted to Facebook only about 3 people will see it.
