We had an hour to kill this afternoon so took a quick drive up on Exmoor and stuck it lucky with this one, we spotted it through a hedgerow as we drove past so turned around further down the road took lens out the boot and put it across my lap (not easy when its a 600mm !) then drove slowly along the hedge row hoping it would still be the other side as we came past and here it is, what struck us is how much white it was

Seen quite a few with white feathers but never seen one with that anything like that much white Adam ... think it needs a WB adjustment though :)

Here it is from another angle at distance through a hedge hence its hazy with the branches blocking view but wanted to show it full length from another angle (this was after parking up following on from taking the above pic, I thought we would be able to walk back up and get more but it didnt hang around much after this one

That's a beauty Adam (y) Have you got a shot in landscape with more of that lovely bg?

We had a juvenile on the moors last year. It was that white, when I first saw it through the bins at distance, I excitedly thought male HH  :$ :D

Can imagine how some people would mistake this for an osprey at first glance and distance and really appreciate your comments I was so happy could not believe my luck but we have spent some serious hours driving and walking up there this year

Lovely shots. Buzzards are extremely variable in colour but it's the paler ones that are the most eye catching (to us). Presumably their prey doesn't see it the same way. I've had to take a second look at the pale ones too.

Thats really cool Adam i'm almost a carbon copy of Roger's reply having seen pale but never like that one what a gorgeous bird and image mate no crop too.... awesomeness:D

Adam WB is it right, or maybe are you getting some reflections on the whites maybe hedge greenish, there is some staining but i'm wondering if it can be improved slighty?? Adam i'm very unsure as always but worth mentioning it's such a cool image Ha ha, I have only just seen roger's note on WB maybe I am learning sommit lmao:D

I have done another quick edit on iPad does this look any better ? They were all taken through a very small gap in hedge row not sure how much this has effected the images
