Web hosting question

Not sure if this is in the correct forum but here goes.

I'm shooting a charity event next month and around 600 images need to be put on an online gallery in order for people to have the opportunity to buy them to add to the cash raised on the day.

Obviously, as they're trying to raise funds for their cause, they won't want to outlay any money if they can avoid it. What's the best way to go about doing this? (Keeping in mind that I'm no web designer)

I've got an ImageShack account but I've just looked at it and I can't imagine that using that is very practical for a large number of images.

Have a look at http://www.000webhost.com/
Free webhosting, and you get a website builder (fairly basic but no frills straightforward) and a couple of gallery scripts with databases etc.

I used them for a quick dumping ground for some shots of a pancake race out of the office window (www.thefrosties.com) Admittedly I used the iweb app on the mac for the gallery and the site but only because it was quicker to do that than user their own.

Thanks for the input, everyone.

This looks ideal, Dave. I'm assuming you did that using iWeb?

You can get a really good deal with dreamhost.com if you sign up to their one year prepay thing using the code G030

You get a year for $30 instead of $120!

I've used them for years with no problems at all - you get ridiculous amounts of storage and bandwith.
