A statue at fleetwood dedicated to the fishermen who lost their lives at sea, and the women and children they left behind. Sculpted By Anita Lafford

The flowers are put there daily (as far as I know) in memory of those who lost their lives in the Fishing Industry. Sponsored by "Fisherman's Friend" of Fleetwood

Dave - where are the statues in Fleetwood ?
I grew up in Thornton,just down the road and can remember as a child watching the fishing boats returning - a sight to behold.
Must make a trip over soon, this and your other post/pictures has given me some food for thought

I like them Prefer the second as it just seems to fill the frame more and has more to look at in some way. I think the very bland sky on the first and the fact the arm is out of focus puts me off a little. Even though the second seems to have a colourcast compared to the first I think it works and brings out the browny reds of the metal of the statue

To be honest I hadnt noticed her arm was blurred, should have used a higher F number thanks for your comments
