Looking to get a Medium Format film camera for my landscape work. My budget will be a 1k for camera & Lens. Can anyone suggest one. (y)

£1k is plenty money for a VERY good setup. Might as well go all the way and try and source yourself a Hasselblad with 80mm and 50mm lenses. A similar Bronica setup would work too.

If you fancy a larger format, you could look for a Mamiya RB67 setup.

How about a 6x17 setup? I'd have thought £1k would cover that.

Be lucky to get a lens for a grand unless its a made up camera or a pinhole.
A fuji 617 90mm is 2K, the body is.....I dunno.....2.5K ?

For a pano landscape, probably only the Xpan comes in under a grand, but that's 35mm.

6x6 - Blad, Bronica....
6x7 - gotta be an RB/RZ, or Bronica GS1, or maybe for portability a Mamiya 7
6x8 - might get lucky with a Fuji GX680.....ooo, I'd like one of those :)
6x9 - I dunno, maybe go L/F with 5x4 and 6x9 back

I would go for a mamiya RZ67, with Mifsuds down the road you will have plenty of choice, I know that I am going to be poping in there over the next couple of days while I am down your neck of the woods on business.

How about this: £1400, but two lenses included:

Perhaps with just one lens £1k is realistic?

I dunno...., its very cheap.

I still think a 2nd hand lens for 1k is more realistic.

Did you check out the link? Perhaps someone should snap their hands off....

Ofcourse, maybe somebody should...best of luck with that one :)
There's one in the classifieds at Robert Whites, body and a couple of lenses.
£3900.

You can get a Mamiya 7 + 43mm lens with external viewfinder, that will save your back, due to the lightweight construction, and will produce some outstanding results.
They don't come any better than this if you are looking for excellent image quality.

Rangefinder wide angle lenses also have very low distortion levels, since they don't have any mirrors blocking their optical designs.

for £1000 id say go large format!! go on, you know its something you want to try really. I did want to go MF but skipped that and now shooting LF. Love every minute of it!
