Which Canon 70-300 - the IS version ?

Why not take them both and try them both out, I've not had any experience of the sigma, but if you don't want to take both, which do you generally use most and which do you feel gives you the better shots.

The initial thought would be the sigma if it's a constant 2.8

Have a good time

the canon lens is a EF 70-300mm 4-5.6 IS

I like them both but just a little worried about the weight of the sigma lens all day
i might take both

thank you for your reply

I've this canon lens and have used it very successfully for motorsport, getting good results

Take the siggy, my mono is in the boot.

I would take the 70-300, for one of the corners that good for panning 120mm is bit to long and you will struggle to get the whole bike in.

i will take both
if i only take one and need both i will be gutted

thanks for all your help guys

andrew,

i do football photography with the sigma and after 90 it starts getting heavy
i have a monopod
see how i go with the big lens
