Expectations were high for the RCAF CF18 Hornet as the pilot had posted that he was going to go through the loop. Car parks were full at the honey pot locations. I went to a location that offers stunning views and a bit of peace and quiet away from the masses !

Fantastic! I've got the Mach Loop on my "must do" list, but I've not got there yet.

It's not Corris Corner. I had a look at OS Maps and there located a track that takes me up to a location opposite the Minffordd hotel. It's all on open access land to save having any grief from farmers etc. If I go high enough there is a chance that you get the lake in the shot.
