Why Lightroom Why!!!!!

This looks like a case sensitivity issue? EDIT: wait no, just spotted the path is more different than that.

What sort of volume is G and how is it mounted?

Does the path that’s “not available” exist and does light room have permissions to view it? Eg can you export a file to that folder?

The G drive is an external drive. It's by LaCie and is 4TB. It's my main drive for Lr.

Edit: When I shut down the PC, I remove the plug (because it requires power), and then plug it back in before I turn the PC back on if I plan on using it. This time I plugged it in while the PC was on.

Edit 2: I've come to realise that when I sorted Lr files out, I messed around with the folder names. The path doesn't exist any more
Hopefully I've sorted it now

Like I said, it's because I moved folders. It's fine now

For me one of the main benefits of LRC is the DAM feature. Not using catalogues seems counter intuitive to me.
I prefer editing in LR non classic then export and organise in Apple photos,I much prefer it to LR classic cataloguing,
Lrc interface looks dated compared to non classic imho

Having said the above many people obviously prefer classic as it does have more functionality within it but for me the newer version has more than enough

They're not. I edit, export, job done. Never needed to go back to redo or even find any
ah fair enough.
Interesting view point.... I seldom go back and redo myself unless its something I print then I do go back and redo a little with soft proofing.
I do use the search function which is helpful.

I don't use ACR as I've been using LR for a very long time, when ACR didn't do the same things. Now it does, I find the interface horrible too, as others have said

Like any complex programs - think PS for one! - there's always many ways of using them, and whatever works for you is the right way :)

I've never used LR's search function. The only rating I give is at the culling stage, just one * to indicate those being deleted forever
