I would probably have walked straight past that without seeing the potential for a picture. As it turns out, you captured a really nice shot, nicely processed too. The moss on the two logs adds to the overall image.

Very fantasy like little corner on this planet…
I was sure they existed! Beautiful, Andy!

I like the processing a lot, do you mind me asking how did you did it & maybe the original? I have never managed to achieve that punchiness from my images. It certainly looks like something really lively from nothing, if you understand I meaning.

Thanks Moey, it was pure luck that I spotted this place. I'd forgotten my tripod and was heading back to the car to get it, I decided to walk under an old brick bridge at the side of the path and then I saw this scene.

Thanks Kodiak, it was lovely little spot.

Thanks BMG, I tried different edits, but this was the one that worked for me. I used the Orton Effect for the greenery, also used NIK Silver Effex to create a black and white version and layered that on top of the colour. Then I adjusted the blend mode (I think I chose 'Luminosity' and tweaked the opacity until I felt that it looked right for me.

Extremely well done Andy

Thanks James

Ah, thank you. Is it the b&w that creates the contrast?
It does make it more punchier but that's not always a good thing, hence the need to adjust the opacity. It's the Orton that really brings out the foliage.

Clever, effective - most important of all, not over cooked !

O yes! That is fantastic! Lovely colors and composition!

Perfect effects?

Nice going, and well seen & manipulated. *Personally* I'd like just a touch less vibrance in the grass and the trees at the top look just a little flat, but it works very well indeed.
