I am just wondering how can MPB and the like justify selling the X100VI for over £2000! Also where did they get them all from. They have over 10 "Like new". Have they been buying new ones and inflating the price. Something seems wrong there. Or are people really not happy with the camera?

Yeah. I noticed that a good month or more ago. Some were up to £2200 at least iirc

Makes me glad I'm still happily on the fence :)

Prior hype led many to pre-order with the sole intention of making a profit on resale - supply & demand has now grossly inflated prices on all of the X100 series.

I expect that of somebody looking to take advantage on ebay, but to have that many it is almost like MPB put pre-orders in just to sell on at inflated prices. They would only be offering £1400 if you had one to sell, so its not like people who pre-ordered and then sold to MPB are making any money off of this.

Actually a Typer sold his to MPB earlier this month, his was one of the first and he got within a few pounds of list price for it

I was going to say that its immoral but isn't that all we hope for when we sell our products online, the best price inline with market demand? It would be unethical however if they were purposefully obtaining stock from outside of their usual modus operandi and inflating the prices keeping supply low and demand high.

They probably paid over for them in the initial hype and are now stuck with them. Can't see anyone being bothered enough to pay anywhere near those prices.
