Hi everyone,

I would like to try the motor winder on the camera, but to see if it worked and how I tried to use it without connecting it to the camera.

1)is it normal that when I click on the test button not only does the red light turn on but it starts to spin endlessly, the motor no longer stops unless I press the shutter button (but only temporarily) or if I set the switch to OFF

2) is it possible to try the winder on the camera by putting it in multi exposure mode even without the film inserted? because the zenza bronica when it is without film, to try to simulate a shot you have to lift the lever and set it to multi exposure mode otherwise it is not even possible to reload and activate the shutter.

@Rosssiiii I've approved your post but it is normally not permitted for brand new members to post links until they have reached a certain threshold of participation on the site. It's also normal practice to introduce yourself in the Welcome forum and tell us a little about yourself.

I've linked the Butkus manual for the winder below, and there's a section on checking the operation. Hope this helps (and Butkus are always grateful for any donation.)

@lindsay
thanks...sorry, now i did the presentation.

do you have any experience with the Zenza Bronica ?
I do have an ETRSi with prism finder and the manual winder attachment, although my winder attachment must have worn teeth because it only occasionally grips to move the film on - I've wasted a couple of films testing it. These things are quite old so problems can be expected sometimes.

Hello :) thanks for the manual, but my winder is the EI.
Anyway it has worked well

the only thing is that after any picture i have to pres the winder botton to rewind the camera, that is caused by the fact that i have not used a battery inside the camera body right ?

Which teeth have worn out? The ones inside the winder motor ?
you must have used it a lot? they seem like very solid products.

I'm not sure exactly, but mine is a manual winder, not the motor wind. I bought it used on eBay so... I got caught out and didn't test it soon enough after buying it. The camera itself and prism finder are fine though, so I'm not worried. In any case, 12 images per roll of film, I'd rather take my time over each one.

The winder may behave differently when on the camera. It's not going to be getting feedback from the back/body
