One from the local patch. It didn't come quite close enough, but I like the palette and the 16:9 ratio seems to suit the shot. What do you think?

I think you’re right about the ratio-it gives the owl a flight line into the frame.

I photographed my first shorty Autumn 2018, they are one of those birds that are a little bit special and always nice to see.

This is a lovely capture, the BG is nicely OOF and just hints at the habitat. The owl is perfectly placed in the frame, exposure is bang on and nice and sharp too.
