The Gaumont State former theatre in NW London.
Architect George Coles and built in 1937, the tower being inspired by the Empire State Building.
The auditorium seated 4004 and the opening night featured Larry Adler, Gracie Fields and George Formby.
Django Reinhardt, Frank Sinatra, The Rolling Stones, John Coltrane and The Who played there before it became a bingo hall and now a Pentecostal church.

This house, in Exeter's Topsham district, seems to have been inspired by the Bauhaus movement...

Hi, a better view, and interesting details of the building shown above. Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) buildings ate over 100 years old. So are the trees in the streets.

Taking a uwa (!5mm) lens because of this, very often leads to distortions ...
