Just back from Cumbrae (Very small island off coast Scotland, opposite Largs, few miles from Glasgow.
This was best I could do - thinking about challenge 3 shot.

The kings entry for this one was taken on 28th may while stopping at Tilford lodges just outside Farnham in surrey. They have a large pool just of the site where i managed to get this shot, i love the reflection.

I know this ain't a patch on some of the entries here but this gave me lots of laughs whilst having my lunch in Southwold today.....

Of about 30 shots this seemed to be the pick of the bunch:shrug:

The kingerfisher one takes it for me.

I know this is no where near the quality of you guys but thought Id start having a go at these, least it can do it make me better.

Sorry I've not been on much recently, I've been out taking pictures! Only access to the web is through my netbook and mobile - with no mobile broadband available so very limited.

Anyway, this was taken at 2116 last night in the Cairngorms National Park.

A Great Crested Grebe out in the rain, believe me there was more than enough water in this shot

The Poll is live, please vote for your favourite images, you may place more than one vote.

Poll will remain open until Sunday 28th June 2009

Reminder to get the votes in before Sunday 28th, cut off time will be whenever I get to my computer Sunday evening, lets say 18.00 Hrs

RESULTS ARE

1st Duck Pond with his stunning capture of a Kingfisher emerging with its lunch

2nd TURBOTOES with a charming capture of a sleeping Cygnet

3rd mav with one of my favourite sights, courting Grebes

I thought that there was a lot of effort put into the entries, thanks to all who entered the quality was very high.

Congratulations to Pete (Duck Pond) its now over to you to sort out challenge number 4

Big Congrats to to Duck Pond, a worthy winner, it certainly got my vote (though it was a toss up between that and the grebes (y)!!!)
And a big thanks to all who voted for my shot, you've made my month!!!!!!

Tara

I have one I'm mulling over, but I may dream up a better one before the starting date - mid month, isn't it?

Entirely up to you Pete when it starts and finishes, once you have an idea and a post up, drop Joe T a PM and ask him to make it a sticky (y)

You can also start a thread over in the comp forum if you want to have somewhere people can discuss things, rather than clutter up the competition thread, will make it easier to sort out the poll once the competition is finished.

Once done I will ask Joe to unstick this thread.
