Chris was so much a part of TP, and brought so much fun to the place.

Sorry but that's how I feel.

I hugely admired Chris, as a person, for the job he did and how he knocked heads on here to keep everyone in shape.

We may have clashed on here a couple of times but we always used to get on well together in person.


I'm now going off to have a quiet cry.

Shocked!

Met Chris at the TP National Memorial Arboretum meet and got on really well chatting about our shared love for raptors

Regrettably, we hadn't always seen eye to eye on certain subjects over the last 12 months, that doesn't mean I'm any less saddened by this terrible news

I dont know if this is appropriate or practical what do others think, about having a donation thread section a bit like buy us a coffee or the donation thingy. To do or get something appropriate in his memory. Maybe his family will have some ideas.
 
Such terrible news.
Chris was an absolute stalwart of TP. His dedication to the forum and its community was always top tier.
I may have created the forum all those years ago, but from the moment he joined he was right at the forefront building it.

When I decided to step back from TP, I couldn't have been happier when he offered to step up and take over with sirch and lindsay.
He was pivotial in arranging the handover and keeping the site alive.

RIP Snakey. You will certainly be missed by many, many people. Thank you for your kind words and support over the years. Thank you for coming to visit me those times, and bringing your birds to entertain my children. I'll never forget the joy you brought to their faces, they were absolutely captivated.

See the first post of this thread. I have merged the two condolences threads into this one and we are passing on any donations made to TP over the next week or so.

Awful news. He often gave me a bit of a bollocking on here but always seemed like a stand up guy.

His poor family must be devastated.
