Earl, did you "export" the image as a jpeg from Lightroom

I've had problems with posted images on the forum

I was advise to do the following

1). Image size 1024 x 1024
2). Limit size to 500k
3). Output sharpening - Matte Paper/or Glossy Paper - Amount: high

this seem to improve the clarity, etc., of the posted image

I did yes then shrunk that down to 1920 x 1280, I'll try smaller next time (seems odd to not have good-resolution images on a Photography site...)
