First attempts at water sports photos

Rookie photographer using d5000 and 18-200mm lens, no photoshop experience.
I know Ive seen much better pictures using this camera so not going to upgrade until i get better at these. All advice greatly recieved!!!!!!!!

2 nice sharp images.
#1 needs more space to the RH side for the Jet Ski to move into.
#2 has chopped the front of the Jet Ski. Again, if the original has the space include it on the right, if not crop in close on the rider.

Yes, I was gutted that I missed the front off the 2nd jetski! Not sure how to get better motion blur either. Slower shutter I guess!

Will try a closer crop on 2 to see how it looks.
