That's nice Trevor, plain, simple, and straight to the point, with great composition.

Just been out walking the dog - it was very foggy and even at 11.00 the sun was struggling to get through and everything was dripping - not really photography weather
I just grabbed my X100s as it was the most easily portable of my X series cameras - this is a cropped JPEG

Cheers George, just a quick snapshot really - I struggle to get artiness into a photo.Liking that shot very much Andrew, well composed, bags of atmosphere, and good exposure.

I've been toying with buying a 23mm f2 for my XPro1 but I'm thinking a X100 would make more sense both economically and for the 'one lens' discipline.
I had an original X100 and sold it before the last big firmware release.

Is that Wood Street near Guildford??
Small world! I lived in Merrow for 10 years and was a member of Guildford Photographic Club which met at Burpham village hall (Didn't have my Fuji then though...)I know it well - I lived in Ripley for 18 years and Burpham for another 6 - before moving to Hampshire

Depends when you were there - we moved away in 1997. I was club secretary for about four years leading up to thatHey, I also went to GPS in Burpham village hall - Monday nights if I remember correctly. We may have met!!

Since buying my X100 from @Mrbaker I haven't had all that much opportunity to use it but have now managed to use it a little. It's 2 years since I last had an X100 and I forgotten how much I love the output.

Personally I felt even the nissin i40 was a bit top heavy on the x100T (not as bad when using the tcl though) The small meike flash is worth a look, tilt & swivel and will even charge from the same USB connection as the x100t. Obviously not as powerful though so will very much depend on your use.So I thought I was finished buying 'extras' for my X100T having got the wide and tele converters but I am now finding that I could do with a decent flash. I like the style of the EF-X20 but feel it may be a bit limiting without bounce/swivel so am considering other options. I will want to use the flash with my X-E2 as well.
I have read a few reviews on the Nissin i40 which seems to be well received and wondered whether anyone had tried this or indeed whether you have any other recommendations.

It is yes, https://www.amazon.co.uk/EACHSHOT-M...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=NWHB7PDB8P2GM7QEXJPH that one is branded as eachshot but it's the same flash. One thing that may be worth a mention is that when I had one I couldn't get TTL to work when using an ocf cable so was only good for on camera use.
wasn't the 1st one over a grand on release as well?£1249
Essentially an XPro2 with fixed lens included.. £100 cheaper than XPro2 body only isn't bad at all if you look at it that way.wasn't the 1st one over a grand on release as well?
I believe the first original X100 was priced at £1000 when it was released back in 2011, I managed to get it for £900 thoughwasn't the 1st one over a grand on release as well?
i think they are great ive had the original x100 and the x-pro1 in the past. i did find Fuji's colours a little on the toxic side but nothing that couldn't be dialled down a peg or two. how does the new sensor compare to the 1st x-100/x-pro1 sensor and firmware?I believe the first original X100 was priced at £1000 when it was released back in 2011, I managed to get it for £900 though
It is a lot of money especially if you already own XF lenses, you could opt for the X-Pro 2 instead and make use of the lenses you have.
But it is smaller and has its appeal.

thank you, are the colours still as toxic (i know its personal view) or have they toned down from x-trans 1 and the original.niko
- X100 - Original Bayer Sensor
- X-Pro1/X-E1/X100S - X-Trans1
- X-E2/X-T1/X-T10/X100T - X-Trans2
Personally I prefer the output of the X-Trans3 but many love the original X-Trans1
- X-Pro2/X-T2/X-T20/X100F - X-Trans3
There is something special about the original X-100 Bayer sensor though. I still have an X100 even though I mainly use the X-T2 (with an X-E2 as a second body!!)

when I've had the option the film pre-sets were turned off or down, its been i while since I've owned it so cant remember settings.I don't know how you can describe the original X100 Bayer as toxic, unless you were permanently on the Velvia simulation
