very pretty Forget me not and lovely sentiment. You did him proud with that Gob Shot too, it's great. (Frosties reference not intended but I noticed it as I typed it)

Week 16 EMPTY + VIVID tech

Just got back from a trip to NYC. Always fancied going to Coney Island and having a Nathan's Hot Dog, but when we got there, it was shut and the place was EMPTY.

Nice one Kell.

Very cool :)

Very nice, must be a few years old. Hope whoever planted/planned it and trained it then got to see how it looked

Week 18 - Straight

Was messing around with another lens trying to get a pic of our cat, then I switched to one with macro mode which got me really close.

Cost me a nose print on the lens, but was worth it for a quirky shot.

I hope your cat looks better in real life, it's freaky in the photo.
Mr Dudley <<----- is not a cat lover, but hates foxes more

The eyes defiinitely have it!! Great dof and worth the lens clean

Empty - maybe the fullest empty shot but a really great shot. I liked your previous images of cities at night.
Structure - Good photo, great tree but imagine the spiders
Straight - well captured

Week 19 - Bent + Minimalist TECH

Sony A7i + Minolta 28-85.

Caught these two Blue Herons taking a rest and spotted the BENT railings.

I quite liked the wider scene showing more of the surroundings, but the tighter crop works better for the TECH theme.

Ooh nice grab! A keen eye to spot the two bent bits in the railings thingy(?). Agree that the crop works much better for the tech.

Thanks Bob - on first glance, I thought something had bent them after being installed, but it looks deliberate as on the wider shot, there's three of them. I'm guess it's to allow certain species access through the fence.

Well noticed and caught, the processing is spot on and the tighter crop is my preference. Might even be tempted to go even tighter and lose some of the top water ripples.

Love this shot, really well spotted & captured - perfect for this week!

Week 20 - (Golden) Arches.

New camera time. But kicking myself for forgetting to put a bracket on the bottom even though I'd gone out to take this shot and knew I'd want a tripod.

Just about managed to get away with it, but at 16000 ISO  :$

Took a few of the building, but this one came out most like I had in my head, if I have time this week, I'll go back with a tripod.

(And, NO, I didn't go in for a burger).

Then I also didn't have this in mind when I set out, but quite liked it.

I did wonder who would use the Golden Arches. I like your chosen shot.

Came out well, the drive through at 25,600. Have you edited much/denoise and wondering if you put the tripod up before realising no plate on the camera :) - which I may have done after driving somewhere for an hour, now have spare plates just in case

Thanks - I got to the 'restaurant' before I realised. Had the tripod in the car, but as soon as I picked the camera up, I noticed no plate.

I think it's because I had been looking at the one on my 5D and wondered if it would fit, before deciding it's probably too long and then just forgetting to put the other one on.

TBH, it's a five minute drive, so I could have gone back to get it. Just thought "I'm here now"

As for NR - I normally go with around 45 on every shot anyway. Didn't go as far as using the AI version.

Quite impressive.
