B&W Let's see your Black and White photos

I used to go kayak surfing there. I think the picture would benefit from being more black and white rather than shades of grey.

Oddly enough I checked my downsized image against how it showed it's self on TP and TP has taken some of the contrast out ! Although not as dark as it's now shown it was more Black and white !

Added comment I just did the downsizing again and this took about half the contrast out , something I will have to be aware of !

My favorite Draught Beer in Britain and my favorite Brewery, When we had this in the Midlands in only two pubs that I knew of we used to have people traveling 40 miles just to sample it ! I asked the Landlady if this was a Brewery hand out but she said she had brought it from them, But at £69 I think it's a little too much !

Quite simplistic but I sort of like it, This is pretty much what the camera saw on a dull rainy day. Taken from the top of Saltburn Pier looking North towards Redcar. I'm not sure what the industrial building are in the distance but I'm sure Mr woofwoof will,be able to tell me as it's his patch. If I had been by myself I probably would have investigated !

It's what remains of the blast furnace and wider steel works and AFAIK it's more south west. This part of the coastline is a bit deceptive as you'd think the sea was to the east but it's more north.

This is a sunset shot taken on the pier. Hope you can see the sunset to the right of Mrs WW.

I always find it a little strange in Whitby as the Sun Rises and sets over the sea ! I think I'm facing North South but as you say it really East and West ! Your wife looks really nice there, It's sort of relaxed Portrait with extra interest in the frame. A very nice image.

Stubborn in SaltBurn !

A view from the top of the Saltburn Cliff Railway /steps. Mrs Badger is Halfway down I always worry about her on steps as she has some severe injury's after a a motorcycle crash and living with the results of it but she just wouldn't wait !

What a miserable sad day...On my day off decided to go for walk just to take pictures, thought it was going to be fun.
Returned back home soaked, took only a few pics and on top of that, I dropped my fuji 60mm prime lens, still works but is making a really loud noise while focusing...and now has a few nice dents on the mount.:grumpy:

haha. You'll be welcome anytime,

I was on the verge of sending this lens back as the vignetting is excessive and strange and can result in a purple tinge in the corners but I did buy it with mono conversions in mind so I'm keeping it :D

I can sympathise with you ... I had a fall and landed on my camera bag as well as my head last week.
Dented my head but thought I had got away with the kit being okay until I noticed a dented lens hood yesterday :)
Like your shot though. :)

Ouch, nothing worse than hitting your... gear
The head will be fine but the pain that little dent on the gear causes is not compared to anything else:ROFLMAO:.
Thx for been sympathetic gramps

Robins Hoods Bay. I should have put the location in but I've rectified it now ! A fantastic place to wonder through all the back alleys, there must be thousands of photos there !

Ha! That's next on our list to visit when we get time :D

It's worth having a look at the tide tables that way you can wonder up and down the beach a little, just be really careful. I have in the past walked from Whitby to Robin Hoods Bay along the coast path which is really nice with an old light house to see. There is also a historic Church on the road in which is worth a look. There is also a cycle route on an old railway between the two and somewhere to hire bikes from if that's of interest . There are a few cafes, A pub right at the bottom that serves food and a luxury sweet shop. When you hit the bottom of the road you can turn left ( The road in my picture) and follow the alley on you left and there is a really nice second hand book shop.
