Yes
Currently on windows and using Canon DPP, Lightroom and Elements.

Tending to miss out DPP more and more and just load straight into lightroom.

Will be moving to a macbook pro very soon and quite like the look of aperture but is this a good replacement for lightroom? I dont know enough apart about aperture apart from having a quick play in an apple store.

Will also still use elements on mac.

thanks Sean

LR and elements. Never tried aperture as I am used to LR and like the way it works.

I use Aperture primarily, but employ Pixelmator, which I've found to be very similar to Photoshop, for my more creative efforts. Between the two of them, I paid £80 or so and am quite pleased.

I have no experience with Lightroom, so I can't draw any comparisons.

I have both Lightroom and aperture on mac... I personally think aperture is much more user friendly, so very rarely use Lightroom.. I much prefer the interface on aperture so can edit photos in bulk much quicker than on Lightroom. Both have their upsides, but my recommendation to you would definitely be aperture.

I use aperture as it was bought for me as a present, I find it very easy to use with lots of adjustments which are mostly done on slide bars

LR3 and CS5. I have grown with LR and the interface is easy to use. Batch processing is also fairly easy to complete.

LR2 & PS9 with various onOne plug ins - keep think of LR4 & NIK but have jumped in yet...

I've got a mid-2010 MBP; running DPP, Aperture and PSE9 (but not crappy Organiser, which I've removed) - all A OK, even on "older" MBP with 4GB RAM.

Lightroom & Elements here.

Your Lightroom license and catalogues will be valid for your mac anyway (as will DPP). Tbh DPP and Lightroom do much the same job, so I'd advise sticking to Lightroom.

Tried LR2 way back when, and it crashed a few weeks in when importing images, corrupting my photo library in the process. I restored from time machine, paid my cash for Aperture and haven't looked back since. Currently running Aperture 3, with some plugins, and CS5.

Use LR4 on my hackintosh.

Tried Aperture but couldn't get on with it. Currently running Capture One, Elements 9 and Nik DFine2 on my iMac (y)

I'm running LR4 on my 11" MBA. I could do with a nice big external monitor for more on-screen space, but I am slowly learning my way around LR4, which I like.

Aperture, CS5, LR3, full Nik suite, full Topaz suite, Imagenomic portraiture all running without issues on my 27" iMac.... but you need plenty of ram when working it hard.

LR4 and Elements for some other bits but tbh I use elements less and do most PP in lightroom

I use CS5 and Lightroom 3 on my MacBook pro.

I have always used these and simply upgraded to the newer versions when they come out. I don't think I would change now as everything has become second nature.

I'll upgrade to the newer versions once I have bought a new computer.

LR3 and PSE10 on my MacBook Pro

I also have Aperture but prefer LR.

Iv tried aperture but cant, work it, been with lightroom to long

Aperture and PSE 10 for me

Downloaded the Instant and Plastic Bullet apps which are great for a bit of fun

CS6 for me.

For those who use both PS and LR, can you tell me in what ways you use both? As in mostly LR but some pics need extra fine-tuning that's done in PS, or use LR as a mostly Bridge replacement?

Download a free trial of LR, I think you get 30 days, that's what I did but decides to stay with Aperture - I've just become very used to the way it works

For photo work Aperture only for me, does everything LR can do for much less cost.

This.

Use LR4 on my hackintosh.

Sorry to go of topic for a mo:)

Thinking of upgrading my windows PC, new motherboard, cpu etc and Hackintosh crossed my mind. Can I ask what spec machine are you using?

Thanks

LR4 principally with CS6 for pixel level stuff. I've also got Aperture 3 and DxO 7 loaded; I very occasionally use DxO and hardly ever touch Aperture.

Aperture 3 for me but I really hope Aperture 4 comes out soon! If we don't see anything new by the end of the year (or if Aperture 4 is a complete fail) I will be switching to LR though.

lightroom is the same for mac and windows, so you can use the same serial no for your pc version on the mac as the serial number isn't linked to a certain platform like photoshop

i use lightroom 4, CS5 and aperture 3 on my macbook pro but don't use aperture it as i don't ilke the interface that it has
