Week 28 : Unsightly

Unsightly grey boxes and general railway clutter spoiling my view of Black 5 'Sherwood Forester' exiting Blea Moor Tunnel on the Settle-Carlisle Railway today.

Thanks for the explanation as I didn't see anything unsightly in the steam engine :)

Nice train and from the angle & distance the pic was taken that looks like quite a bend coming up,
and as a huge fan of blea moor tunnel that white stuff is unsightly :)

Hahaha - thanks :)

The boxes might be unsightly but still a great shot Dave.

I feel you pain. Especially as someone who doesn't clone things out of images. Too much modern detritus around ;)

Lovely puff of steam from the loco emerging from the tunnel.

The dragonfly is a beauty! Excellent capture showing all of it in focus and amazing detail in the wing structure.

Many thanks Graham :)

Lovely detail, wings look so delicate. We visited butterfly world, Anglesey, a couple of weeks ago and they had lots of signs - don’t touch!

Week 30 : Windows

Another Hawker - this time the wing of a MIgrant Hawker. Lots of windows.

Very original! I also admire your patience - they never seem to stop anywhere when I watch them.

Thanks Paul. :)

I'll post this comment in the correct thread this time! (I usually catch that mistake within minutes but it took me hours this time :( )

Amazing detail and a great idea for the theme. Very well done.`

Great detail and focus on the wing, pretty sure you will have the most windows for the theme

Thanks Colin :)

Enjoy your donut :p

I've never heard them referred to as windows before - but they certainly are.

As Paul said - I've never had much success with trying to get anything decent of an insect so kudos for that alone.
Cheers Kell :)

Catching up on my comments. Don't know where the time went...

Two great closeups Dave, I particularly like the shot of the Hawker wing. It has a fascinating structure.
