Pic(s) you took today - an open thread

Hi, have not been on for a while due to some heart problems.
Sorry to hear that Howard, I've been there and done that a number of times :(
Still able to keep reasonably active ... and positive.
Hope you progress well. :)

Someone had a great wild life capture of the lesser spotted nosy gits Hand ! Whilst mooching in the Wyre Forest ( I tend to wonder off the beaten track) I came across a fairly large hut 30 x15 feet) with a letter box style slit in it (quite big) I realized there were no windows and was a little confused. So me being Mr Nosy decided to poke my arm through with my point and press and take a few photos with the flash to view later. I think someone will be surprised/disappointed where they review the footage back to see some idiots hand appearing !

Next to the hut there is a seat and a fence with holes in it I only presume for when they do a Deer cull, The view through the fence shows a watering hole and as the shooting position is well above this it would allow for a safe shot into the ground if the shot missed.

Thanks Gramps for your good wishes, I'm currently progressing quite well. It was/is a blood clot in the heart and, not only that, I had one in the lungs as well. So I'm on blood thinner tablet for the rest of my natural.

Anyway here are another two "getting back in the groove" images! Not particularly interesting I'm afraid.

It was taken "today" so it qualifies. The subject is largely by-the-way.
The idea is to get people out shooting images. (y)
I glad you are improving.

Nice shot. I notice my local John Lewis now has at least 3 turntable models on display. The number of cameras, on the other hand, is visibly dwindling.

Well yesterday actually - bucket list picture for me, taken in a busy park in St Albans, I turned up, 10 min later had this image. A bit of a crop but very very happy :)

I cant see the pic, just a black square, is it just me??
It is there . . . very distant quite dark and black and white almost even though it is full colour. Click the photo you see here and that will take you to Flickr and then simply click twice and the Ferris wheel is to the right by the hill, very faint but visible just !

The defined areas are ( just about) there, I guess it depends on how the brightness on any screen is set.

Ok, it must be me. This is what I'm seeing. I'll try another computer tomorrow. ScreenHunter_01 Feb. 13 15.07.jpg

Ok Stephen, managed to see it on my phone. My browser seems to be playing silly beggars on the PC. Nice pic. I'll have to go down and see it, I'm local enough. :)

I read, somewhere, today that black headed gulls are now on the Red Endangered List so you were lucky to see some. There were none around on the local golf course when I went for a walk this morning.

Howard
That's sad news

First time out with a digital SLR. I went to a local village to walk the dog and check to see if any peregrines were nesting in the old quarry. They had very noisy chicks. The male and female were busy flying in to feed them. Too far away for my puny 18 - 200mm lens to do justice though. So I picked on somethings static to photograph.

I haven't taken a picture for weeks so when I got the chance to spend a few minutes in the park I took it, despite the fret like rain.

No one on the bridge.
