A family of Swans on the flooded football pitches down the road.

Project finished ( still waiting for a bit of brass tube) Mat black paint rather than try and strip the old nuclear proof toffee applied with a wet dog paint)
How it should look as standard ( different gun) The black gun had surface rust and lots of knocks in the paint work. It would take a lot to strip the paint off and then quite often the wood is not too good so I just went with Matt black.

What do Bedfordians do on Sunday when the Embankment has flooded?
They go to the Embankment and look at the floods.
One mad bloke tried to fish it
and there wasn't much chance of a coffee and cake at the boating lake cafe !

Dogs are a PITA when you have a camera, just as you line up a shot and start pressing the shutter, Mr Woof rockets off and jerks the lead your holding. I've got some cracking shots of half my subject......

There was a picture of a Long Tailed Tit on the memory card when I set off today, I took it a few days ago and quite like it.
I have a favourite stop on my weekly trip to empty my aging bladder (too much info) Looks very serene, but a stones throw from A1, M25, and South Mimms services. Lovely Horses though.
The foreground with the rain drop from the tree, that's the path, honest. The small lake past the reeds is more floodwater.
There's a river in the middle somewhere !
Aaah a nice little stream. Nope, another path under the floods. Not likely to make the national news though, like the A421 bypass up the road !
