Simon's 52 for 2025

Very nice. And the photo's pretty good too!

Brilliant shot Simon, could have worked well for the food theme as well. Very well executed.

Week 3 - Graffiti and tech - Wide Angle

Plenty of options local to me. These are all in the playing fields a five minute walk from our house. Have chosen the first image as much as submission as it's more graffiti than the third which looks like much more deliberate street art, although as many have opined on the chat, there's a fine line between graffiti and street art.

Also I've used the tech wide angle - my chosen shot is at 21mm so not stupid wide, but almost as wide as I can go.

Nice colourful set and a good mix of Street Art and Graffiti

Love the colours Simon, your exposure is spot on and any of the three would have worked.

Intrigued at the fencing. Is that a H&S thing? Not something you expect with either skate or bmx.
The fencing is surrounding a paddling pool, never used to be there but too many dogs getting in there.

Nice pics Simon, my old stomping grounds, I could see the fields from my bedroom window

Great colours, think the graffiti bods could learn a lot from the street artists

I’m not sure TBH. I’m guessing safety but could actually be a hindrance.

Cheers john
I think Tim was commenting on the fencing at the top of the skate ramp.

Thanks Keith. There is some neat stuff here.

Nice set Simon. I like the first best as it shows the graffiti in the context of the surroundings.

Thanks Pete.
Nice set of pics - there’s definitely a link between skate parks and graffiti so good to see it in its natural habitat.

I think I prefer shot two simply because it doesn’t have the fencing at the top. But it’s a close call.
Cheers Kell

Thanks both for looking, and the feedback. Much appreciated.

Nice set of street art and graffiti - looks like you had a lovely day for it too.

Week 4 - Morning Light

This is about as early as I'm going to be up this week. An opportunistic iPhone shot over fields near the entrance to my golf club in the Vale of Glamorgan, taken at 8.20am on my way to play on a freezing cold morning, with a couple of bonus geese flying over the sunrise

Yep that'll do nicely :)

With a sunrise like that you must have had a great knock, at least two birdies there.

That certainly looks like morning light to me.
Thanks Paul
The birds make that. Really nice scene and capture.
Ta very much. It would have been nicer if they’d just been a little closer.
Yep that'll do nicely :)
Cheers Dave

They were the only birdies I captured on the day!
Thanks Wayne

Lovely shot and the birds definitely make it.

Lovely shot and well worth the early start, when asked how was your round you could claim 2 birdies

Cheers Keith. There certainly weren’t any other sort of birdies that I was after about

Lovely light, looks like it would have filled the brief for “Cold” as well :)
