Spotted a togger : Part 3

Well seen & caught candid togger style capture Andrew, liking this pic' very much.
Thanks. He's right in the middle of a circle of people dancing The Big Apple routine, so was in a great place to get pictures of jazz dance.

I'm confused. If that's an add-on viewfinder on top of his camera, what's he looking through?

Photography obviously can be fun...

That is a leica wide angle viewfinder. The leica range finders only have a. 3 or 4 viewfinder masks built in. When you use other focal lengths you need to use ether individual or variable viewfinders to suit.

I agree it is a Wide Angle Viewfinder but not sure why he has it on as he is using a 90mm lens which the M9-P that he is using has framelines for.

He was using the 21mm a few minutes before safest place for the finder was on the camera.

I had a suspicion that might be the case or something like it. When I am out with my M9s I tend to have 3 bodies 1 21mm, 1 35mm and 1 75mm. My body for the 21mm has a Thumbs up with cold shoe for the finder, I forget that most people use 1 camera and change lenses as they need to.
