Stardust's 52 week challenge 2024

Where on earth has October gone???
Playing catch up again. Going to see if can stop losing weeks between now and end of the year and stay on top of this :ROFLMAO:

Week 41 - Friends

Week 42 - local
I was waiting for the October supermoon and although I was standing in the wrong spot for that I was in the right spot for the gorgeous sunset. (note to self, don't look through the view finder straight at the sun!)

Week 44 - night
(October's not so supermoon by the time I saw it)

I like the minimalism of this.

Though I wonder if you could have made the bush at the bottom either more obvious or less obvious.

i.e. include it as part of the composition or darken it so it's not included at all.

ETA: After posting, I suddenly remember that my monitor somehow allows me to see stuff that isn't that obvious to other people. So apologies if the comment about the bush makes no sense.

Rough - nice shot a few milliseconds before would have been perfect. Maybe shooting a burst would have captured the perfect moment? (Maybe you did?)

Night - I can’t see the bush in my iPad or iPhone - not got access to a desktop monitor at the moment. 8 like it. The offset of the moon from the centre of the shot is nice.

Nice minimalist moon :)

Thank you. Your comment does make sense, for some reason on my edited version on my computer the tree is visible but when I uploaded it it wasn't so who knows what's going on here hahaha. I'm glad you could see it though.

Thank you. Thankfully I did get 'the' shot as did a burst. I was trying to not use burst and time it just right but kept on missing hahaha. 'The' shot is waiting to be edited so I can enter it into a competition so fingers crossed.
Thank you also re the moon shot. First time trying to shoot the moon so have a long way to go but was glad to get a nice-ish shot from my first time.

Nice depth of field - hehe! :)

Snappers Choice.

I like the way it's been processed. Is this because it came out the camera this way, or did you deliberately desaturate it?
It came out this way, haven't touched the saturation post process so really interesting that you've picked up on this :giggle: I've got a B&W version of it as well which again hasn't had the saturation changed.

So glad the image came out with the 'intended break'. I've entered the B&W version into a couple of monthly comps so will be interested to see if the judges think the same.
Thank you everyone :giggle:

Week 46 - intricate (if it's not a horse image it's a tractor image :ROFLMAO:)
Week 46 - Intricate.jpg

Week 47 - ancient (way of working)
(About time I added in another horse shot :ROFLMAO:)
Week 47 - Ancient.jpg

Intricate - is it a Fordson?. Good colour contrast.
Ancient - its a majestic sight. Good depth of field, those horses are really sharp

Ancient - I like that. Would have been great to get a shot with no modern vehicles in. In order to sell it a bit more.
It really would have, it's the one part that I'm disappointed with, sadly the public weren't allowed the other side where the vehicles were which is a shame but I understand.
Thank you for liking it and to you too Alan :giggle:

Week 48 - Numbers
(From today's Santa Fun Run for Farleigh Hospice :giggle: )
Week 48 - Numbers.jpg

Week 49 - circles (thanks to all of the fairy lights).
Had to get one last tractor image in the year :ROFLMAO:
Week 49 - circles (1 of 1) copy.jpg

Do feel as though both images could have worked for either week though.
