The lighting is a bit flat on the others, whereas is beautifully captured on your submission.

Thanks for your comments, it's definitely the post processing in the Affinity Photo iPad app that has taken them from an photo with potential to something better looking. Here is the originals along with the added adjustment layers. On the succulent plant I have created a selection around the plant, inverted it added a levels adjustment to lower the black point.

Dunno what that is but it looks brilliantly shot. Loving the dark background as what almost looks alienlike fades into it. Nicely cropped, tight but not too tight and well focussed.
 
Stuart, your snappers choice is just sublime. Really like that, very impactive.
Out and about, fantastic too. Really draws the viewers eye through the scene.
Not too far from my home town, Renfrew btw. I've been away from there 30 odd years though.
 
Shapes
Lots of triangles, a bird and negative space, it's got it all.
 
Week 15 Snappers Choice

This is an interesting picture it reminds me of something out of Aliens, the colours pop against the black background.

Week 16 Out and about

I thought you had captured the light here really well and the eye is drawn down the corridor.

Week 17 Shapes

Definitely fits the theme here and I think the bird helps make more sense of the image.

Love the shapes and I agree the bird is a bonus and it gives it all scale too.

I really like that the left side is anchored with the solid line too.
 
I really like your Shapes image, great use of the steelwork and bird and i'd also say that it fits the tech well.
