Once I’d decided to get a Q3 it was fairly straightforward, to fund it the GFX had to go, and then I needed some proper medium format!!!!!

The X-Pro1 was a bit of an accident :ROFLMAO: and the X-T3 is really only for motorsport use with the 100-400

Surprised that the Minolta stuff has more than funded the GX680 + lenses though!!

Not planning any more purchases at the moment, though I probably need a Sherpa to lug the GX680 about :D

Oh and thanks for buying my 23mm F2 :)

At least everything has a dedicated use :) That's the main thing :)

What CFE cards are people using with the X-H2S?

Nope. But certainly sounds a nice focal length and aperture on paper :)
I know, and from what I've seen and read. It's similar in size to the 16-55. So not stealthy small.
I've definitely got an itch :ROFLMAO:

Anyone have (or had a play with) the viltrox 27mm f1.2?

I seem to have a bit of GAS rumbling ;)

I have it and love it. Watch the reviews, believe the hype. Honestly I didn't rate Viltrox much with their original lineup, but the pro lenses are incredible. I have no idea how they went from mediocre to making these things.

It's crazy sharp even wide open, AF is fast and quiet, and build quality is better than any Fuji lens. It also has that "je ne sais quoi" much like the 35mm 1.4, except turned up to 11. It's just bonkers, I can't praise it enough.

It is a heavy b**ch though.

Cheers, mate (y)
You're gonna cost me ;)

As for weight; i'm used to the 16-55. So shouldn't be an issue.

I have one mate, Heavy lens but sharp as anything from wide open but diffraction is supposed to set in after f10 but haven't noticed it. Great for portraits.

From looking, it's similar to the 16-55 in size and weight..f1.2 gotta be wide open ;)

......... and build quality is better than any Fuji lens.........

That is a rather sweeping statement. The build quality must be something specil because most of my XF lenses have been excellent. (OK, some of the lens hoods could be better, but the lenses themselves are as good as Nikon, Sony & Canon).

Not sure if it has been mentioned on here yet, could not see it via the search function.

Viltrox are releasing a 35mm f1.7 lens soon, at an estimated £100 mark

Yep, I've owned a number of them and tried the others, and they're great, but I stand by it.

The metal body feels thicker and sturdier, the hood is obviously better, the focus and aperture rings have zero slop or wiggle, and the clicks on the aperture ring are sublime - there's a slightly different click when you pass f16 to move to auto, and a satisfying "thunk" when you reach either end of the range.

I've certainly never had any complaints about Fuji lenses, but this definitely feels like a step up.

Not sure if this is just a thing with my x-e1 being a bit older.
If I use a Fuji lens, from turning on it’s ready to use in about a second or so.
If I use my Viltrox lens, it’s a good 5 or 6 seconds before it’s ready. Now I know that I can be patient and just wait. At first I thought it was not going to come on at all and would turn it off, reseat the lens and try again

Any one else seen this type of behaviour?

Argh!!! I'm not having much luck with my X-H2S at the moment - after buying a new CFExpress card to rule out the card being the root of the locking up issues I have been experiencing, I went to install the new CFExpress card and the SD card, which I had removed to test the performance of, and the SD card won't stay in the slot on the camera. Looking at the card closely one of the plastic ribs has been mangled. I also tried a (slower) card out of one of my other cameras and that will not go into the X-H2S either. So it looks like it needs to go back to Fuji.

I haven't noticed any difference in startup times, but I used my Viltrox 23mm on a walk around Chicago last weekend, and got absolutely loads of "Please turn the camera off and on again" error messages... not sure if that was the lens, or the fact that it was something like -10 degrees.
