Did you use exposure compensation when shooting? or bracket the shot?

Hi Steve, no I used spot focus, exposed a little to the right and from the the glove, right hand.

Yep great shot - I noted that the "slag" is rising - sign of someone who knows how to weld.
I like the background with vice giving a workshop context.
The fast shutter speed worked as well most images are done with a slow shutter speed giving a fountain of sparks.
