Is it the burner on a gas stove/heater?

Is it a uk thing or would we have them over here too

Does it spin or is it stationary?

Nope - I tend to notice those - even when unlit and that would be not in normal use I suppose.... ;)

You did say hardly... And if its for a heater...

Shuttlecock?

Way off bat with that one ;)

Part of a blind?

I don't see it....

Intake for an air conditioner?

Whoops!!

Indeed :D

"No Electricity" :D

I think another clue is needed :)

I don't :naughty:

Spider trap

Never seen one (we call them "Glasses" - so no :)

CLUE #0: In normal use you'll hardly notice this....
CLUE #1: Don't spoil it....
CLUE #2: It could be said that in use this item is actually "intermittently" visible....

I'm going with my first instinct and ignoring the fact that clue #1 doesn't fit. Is it...

an eyeball? :cautious:

I like you're thinking (especially the eyeball guess ;)) - but in fact - as you will see later - CLUE 1 and CLUE 3 are not mutually exclusive.... or at least I don't think so :)

CLUE #3: Often found somewhere in the kitchen - but ours is in somewhere in the Utility room...

is it a ball you fill with washing solution then put it in the machine?
