What was number 1 when you were Born

I was thinking exactly the same, depressing isn't it! :shake:

I could probably sing along with most of these songs and many of them I sang to my children! So that makes my children older than some of you too! :crying:

Well it looks like chuck berry was singing about his ding a ling when I hatched but a week later someone called jimmy osmond was telling all who'd listen about his long haired lover from liverpool

Mungo Jerry for me! oh my god, I'M SO OLD!!!!!!!

Same here, but then you're only a few days younger than I am ;)

Craig Douglas.... Only Sixteen. :shake:

This thread is depressing I'm not playing -give back my ball and I'm going home :( :D

Paul Anka - "Diana"  :puke:

David Essex - Hold Me Close :(

If I had only been born 2 months later it would have been Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody !

I thought it might be bad but didnt imagine this -

Bombalurina with Timmy Mallett - "Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini"

20th August 1990!

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, and I thought mine was bad enough

Took me while but I found it in the end. Only the Christmas No 1 for the year and it was Buttons and Bows by Dinah Shore.

They didn't have record charts back then, the charts were made up from SHEET MUSIC SALES!!

And you thought you were old! :shake:

Madness house of fun.... went to see them live a few months ago as well

oh and its not as bad as Jamie-dm with Timmy Mallett - "Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini"

which I think wins worst number one so far :D sorry Jamie.

used that link on the first post and came up with this:
Long John Baldry - "Let The Heartaches Begin"

John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John - "Summer Nights"

Maybe thats why I love the film.

24/10/78

Ditto. I'm exactly one week younger than you, Sue. :D

Wet Wet Wet - "Love Is All Around"
That narrows down your DOB to a 5 year range then  (or so it seemed at the time)

My mother actually waited for a dip in the quality of tunes.
Righteous Brothers - "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'"

You Light up my Life by Debby Boone, which I always thought was rather fitting.

Del Shannon - Runaway

Probably what my Mum wanted to do for the next few years :)

[FONT=Verdana,Geneva,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]"As Time Goes By"
