I have a D7200 and a Nikon 70-200 f2.8 mk1, i am very pleased with the results from this set up,
can any of you experienced people advise on a wider lens that would give the same image quality as the 70-200
Sigma 18-35mm 1.8 Art lens! Enough said!!!!! It's the best lens I've owned ever! It was tested for sharpness and was sharper than 3 Zeiss lenses at 20,24 and 35 I think it was

I use a Tokina 12-24 F4 on a D7200. If you have a look at my Flickr, most of the landscapes on there are with that lens. The Nikon 16-80 VR is also a decent standard wide angle to moderate telephoto zoom (it's my 'stay on' lens for the D7200 & D500).
These are good lenses but are not to the 'pro' standard of your 70-200.
If I wasn't already covered for that range then I would also concur with the aforementioned Sigma 18-35 F1.8
