We stayed at Portmerion for the weekend and our room in the cottage had this delightful porthole window in the wall. It is a 9" square opening into which has been mounted a concave lens, giving a lovely view of part of the village.

The lens is not of photographic quality, so don't expect pin sharp and crystal clear detail!
