Wornish's 52 in 2024 added Week 52: Transport

Nice one :)

Week 40: Candid, Techn: Panning

Candid - Panning.jpg

Not my best entry.

I agree - but it ticks both boxes :)

It's a good effort at panning, but it is difficult to get it just right. It's like the only time you shouldn't hold the camera still, and so it's very unnatural. I don't think I'll bother with this technique.

I'm not great at panning so well done on what you achieved. Ticks the box!

Week 41: Friends / Friendship

Friends form a Bygone Period

Chosen picture is full of character, but I really appreciate the subtlety of the trees/bench picture

Nice friends shot David. Curious to hear the background to this.
I went for a walk with my Daughter and her dog around the grounds of Basildon Park on Sunday, and we went into the cafe in the Manor House for a coffee afterwards. Inside, there were lots of people all dressed in full Regency costumes. I got talking to them, and they kindly agreed to let me take a picture. They were members of a group that toured UK manor houses and held full regency costume balls. There were 70 attendees at the ball on Saturday night.

Cool - thanks David

Yep - both good shots and a good paring with the party feel and solitude.

Week 42: Local

My local, it is the only remaining pub in the village which once had 6.

Having looked at this image I am a bit worried about the wonky chimney.

Nice one David. Yeah that does look a bit on the wonk!

Now you have pointed out the chimney, I can't take my eye of it !
Very sad the number of pubs closing, but then I don't go to the pub as often as would have been the case so I can't complain I suppose. Tough business to be in. Lovely building though, looks like an interesting village.

Friendship. Very Dickensian
Local. Great that you still have one... so do we, and one of the few lucky villages around that still has a pub.

All right, you win, what is it?
It looks rough so fits the brief, I'll give you that!

Ah Ah.
It's a close up of the curtains in the room where my computer is. Big crop, converted to Black and White and rotated.
I tried sandpaper and a few other things but decided on this.

Week 44: Night

Fireworks probably one of many this week.

The people around the bonfire give some idea of scale.

A nice set. For some reason I am particularly drawn to the middle one - it seems unusual.

Good effort! All that is lacking for me is some context. A landmark maybe?

Agree with Boots, rather drawn to the middle one. Lovely colours in them all

Works well that.
