The TP 52 - 2025 LC2's 52 Shoe Horns for 2025: Week 3 - Graffiti

Love the burger? looks like a McDonalds breakfast.
Brings back memories of hangovers.

You've picked the right one there, the burger looks really good. It looks too good to be a Maccies one.

Oh, I'm hungry now

Time for my lunch ️

Great burger shot there. Off to make myself one!!
I'm glad my photos have caused hunger ;)
And thanks @Simonbrown16, yes I think the muffin was the stronger of the two shots. But as I had my tripod out I thought I would take a backup shot just in case I didn't like the muffin one. You can't say no to chocolate !

Lovely burger pic Tim. It does look rather appetising (as does the chocolate!)

Hmmm that's lunch sorted. Haven't had a McDs for yonks!

Hmmm, dinner and desert...both look good...
Ta. They were nice.

TBH I have McDs more often than I should - often when out doing shoots in London.
But we don't cook these too often.
Very nice burger, looks at clock- is it too early for lunch :)
It's never too early for second breakfast
No harm done to have junk food occasionally and obviously don't want to waste good food or is that done deliberately? :)
It wasn't wasted :)

Looks more than good enough to eat. Hope it didn't get cold waiting on the composition!

I got everything set up while cooking (took the chocolate photo first).

Prefer the burger shot, so I think you made the right choice and the shallow DOF works for me.
I had a few options, with differing DoF, but yeah, went with the large aperture one :)
Oh I could murder that McD's right now!

I could do with a egg and sausage muffin about now too, looks good!
@SimonH @RyanB Get yourselves down to Tesco for the patties and muffins (Warburtons are better than Tesco Own) and then it's the work of 10-15 minutes to cook them for yourself (most of that being grilling the patty.

Yep, I have had those ones from Tesco and they are really good. I did find they cooked up a bit thick so ended up cutting them like a bagel so I could make 2 and fit the egg, cheese and bacon all in the muffin without it falling apart.

Week 2 - Cold

A cold morning on Osterley station waiting for my train up to the smoke.
The 73 stock pictured was heading towards Heathrow.

Shots like this look colder with having no people in frame. That's what strikes me anyway. Nice shot.

A few minutes later the shot would have had 3 or 4 people in it, wrapped up in coats with hats on.
I did ponder if that would have been better, but I'd put my camera away at that point as I was waiting for my train to arrive.

Looks frosty on the foreground and in the bushes, I think people wrapped up might have added a little but it works as it is.

Chilly people would have made the picture but then the train would have gone, timing tsk!

Clear sky and frost on the ground so must be on the cold side, train nice and sharp

That big kahuna burger looks so good!!

Really like the toblerone shot too
Over time, I kinda wish I had spent more time on the chocolate shot. I'm edging back towards it now.

Not sure that it wouldn't have ended up being a bit too busy though. I was hoping that the crisp frosty feel would come through in the photo as is.

As per my comment to Allan H, I was hoping not to need to over emphasize the coldness

Cheers :) That's kinda what I was hoping would come through from the shot.

Like the concept - and the platform definitely looks uncomfortably cold!

Frosty platforms and bare trees. Certainly looks cold.
Ta
As said, looks like a cold morning. Nice idea.
It was. I had my hat on...

I'm glad that the tube runs frequently ;)
Good one Tim, I like the pops of red in different spots all in a line
I hadn't really noticed that bh, but I see what you mean :)
I spent many a morning commuting from there when I lived in Osterley.

Nice capture.
Standing room only probably !

Week 3 - Graffiti

Google Maps currently has these labelled as "Feltham Circles" and Pokemon GO (yes I know - but not me) believes them to be Turntables from Feltham Marshalling Yard, but actually they are the remains of the Felthm UDC Sewage Works

They've been a safe space for graffiti artists in the area to express themselves and there are many constantly changing pieces of art.

I was originally going to go with this, which is a piece of the wall that has come away, showing just quite how many layers of pain have been applied over the years

However, I actually like this much better.

There are more photos on my Flickr and I will be publishing a You Tube Video next week showing all of the current art.

I think they are both worthy The paint layers pic is quite interesting Little more DoF on the stack maybe.

I think that you made the right choice Tim but that first shot really adds some "depth" to the story behind that chosen one...

That shot of the layers and layers of paint is great - interesting and I love the colours from it.
